Kizhamudiman was one of the 13 substations belonging to Kamanayakanpatti in 1839.In 1911 163 persons were converted to Catholoicism. It was with Tharuvaikulam parish in 1925. In the time of Fr. Adaikalanather a church was built with help from the American sponsor Kevin Griffin. Since 1936 it has been an independent parish.Among its substations, Valampatti, Pommaiahpuram, Pasuvanthanai and Keezhaeral had been with the ancient mission of Kamanayakanpatti.
